This is a yet unfinished painting, which has seen quite the evolution. I didn’t know it at the time that I started it that it would morph through time eventually aligning with a book I was reading at the time (Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas). The woman in my piece began to emerge out of an otherworldy landscape with her back turned to the viewer waving at someone in the distance. Eventually this passive view turned to a bold confrontation, reminding us that perspective can shift with each chapter.
